Could you imagine Christmas without your loved ones? Well, troops across the country are fighting for our freedom and we should show all of them our appreciation through holiday gifts. Christmas for our troops is an organization put together by volunteers and hopes that sending care packages will help brighten their holiday season!
The organization plans to pack around 2,500 boxes. Donations wanted are: pocket knifes, cleaning utensils for guns, Tylenol, trail mix, sunflower seeds, socks, knit caps, instant coffee, handmade Christmas cards, Kleenex, DVDs, and magazines. You are also welcome to donate money. The drop off locations for these items are at: Atmos Energy, Bank of America, CitiBank, Community National Bank, Concho Resources, Curves, First Capital Bank, Main Street Diner, West Texas National Bank, Western National Bank, DCP Midstream LLC, Key Energy Services, Valley View Baptist Church, and Wells Fargo Banks. The deadline is November 7, 2011.
